ADGPI stands for Additional Directorate General of Public Information, under the Directorate General of Military Intelligence, relating to Public Relations (PR) activities, media relations and surveillance, information release, publicity, image projection and perception management (PM). Its main objective is to establish such conditions which will instil confidence in our army and prepare it to operate in peacetime and war. An officer of the rank of a Major General heads the Additional Directorate and is assisted by the Deputy Director General
